Our bladderwrack is a brown seaweed organically grown and sourced in Australia. We use an extract from the bladderwrack that is rich in fucoidan, a sulfated polysaccharide with antioxidant properties. Cellular studies suggest that fucoidan may support procollagen protein expression and prevent damage related to UVB light. Fucoidan derived from bladderwrack may also promote smooth, even skin through its anti-elastase and anti-collagenase activity, which halts the break down of enzymes necessary for skin integrity and health. Fucoidan has been researched for its potential to activate hepatocyte growth factor, an important chemical for stimulating hair growth.
