Why doesn’t the Modern Multi contain omega-3s?

While omega-3s are also essential and often missing from the diet, we did not include them in the Modern Multi. Our goal was to deliver a modernized multivitamin formulated specifically to provide a comprehensive range of all essential vitamins, choline, key minerals, and scientifically-supported carotenoids to support and protect the health of adults.†

Without these nutrients, many of the body's basic metabolic processes will not be able to run efficiently which then impacts various health systems including the production of cellular energy for a healthy metabolism, red blood cell production for energy, and circulatory health and hormones that regulate the body. If we put omega-3 DHA in this formula, we would have to reduce other important components whilst still not reaching the desired amount of Omega-3 DHA - and that didn’t feel right to us. Instead, we do offer a separate plant-based Omega-3 (DHA) derived from algae called Head & Heart that boasts a potent 500mg dose.

Do I still need to supplement with other products?

Next, the age recommendation we have set is primarily due to the iron that's present in Multi Modern. Hello, how much of the folate/folic acid in the multi vitamin is folic acid? And is the folic acid synthetic or naturally occurring? I read in the FAQ that the folate is methylated and I'm curious about the folic acid content. Thank you.

Why is your multi-vitamin only for ages 18 to 55? What happens when a person hits 56? Seems like you are ignoring a very large segment of the population. I am 72 a was shocked at your answer to the question, “Can men and women take the Modern Multi?” Sorry, but I guess I am to old! Maybe this is just a misprint???

We advertise it as targeted for ages 18-55y because of its iron content. Women of reproductive age need higher iron levels, and our multivitamin reflects that increased need. That being said, we still offer a modest dose that is safe for men to take, and may be safe for individuals older than 55! If your don't not have iron storage problems, this may still might be a great multivitamin for you! We recommend checking in with your physician to make sure. :)
